Cover vs Poster

While looking at the cover for Horizon by Sophie Littlefield over at All Things Urban Fantasy, I was struck by a similarity to another iconic image - Mel Gibson as Mad Max. What  do you think - did one inspire the other?  After all they are both post-apocalyptic series.

    This reminds me that I have the first two Littlefield books waiting for me to crack open.

    1. Mardel I think the dog originally belonged to the helicopter pilot, but I could be wrong. You should get to Sophie Littlefiield's books soon. They were on my Best Of list for 2011.

  2. ha! I love this, because I'm a mad max fan from way back. that movie inspired my longing for motorcycle boots - it took me until i was 45 years old to finally get a pair :)

    1. Hi Sophie, welcome! I like that the Aftertime series writer has motorcycle boots :) Very much looking forward to today's release of Horizon. The first 2 books were on my Best Of 2011 list for 2011.
