Cover Art - "The Eternal Kiss of Darkness" by Jeaniene Frost

Jeaniene Frost unveiled the sexy new cover for The Eternal Kiss of Darkness which is the follow-up to First Drop of Crimson. The book releases July 27 and  Jeaniene will be guesting her at SciFiGuy.ca on July 29 to talk about the novel. About this newest installment of the Night Huntress World, Jeaniene says, "Some of my favorite things are the green in Mencheres’s eyes and how his hand is curled around Kira’s. Also what the .jpg doesn’t show, but you’ll see once the book is out, is that the entire cover has a sheen on the front, so in the light, it flashes a faint, hazy silver. SO pretty! The stepback is still being tweaked. I’ll post that once it’s ready."

  2. Yowza.
Is it just me or does that male model look a little like Louise (Brad Pitt) from 'Interview with the Vampire'? Seriously!

  3. How cool that Jeanine has a new book! Love most of the cover, but the guy does have a bit of a "Did I remember to turn the oven off?" expression.

Hope you'll review her new book!

  4. I think the male cover model kinda looks like the kid that plays Jasper in Twilight (I can't think of the actor's name...)

  6. BookFreak creepy eyes add to the mystique...

Danielle I'll give you that one but I was paying more attention to the woman...

Marta or maybe the expression is "What? Have I got something stuck in my teeth?"

Sara I can never get over a vampire named Jasper...

  9. Is it me or do the Huntress World novels so not live up to the Cat/Bones covers? I'm just not digging them as much.

  10. Paper Cut Reviewer. I think putting some creepy back into vampires is a good thing :). Kewl award Steph! Thanks so much.

Tiah certainly grittier. It will be interesting to see the step down page.

Jackie I think the FDOC cover matched up pretty good with Cat & Bones look but I agree this one is a darker departure.

  11. IMO, it just doesn't look new. I get the feeling I've seen something similar somewhere else (maybe Kresley Cole?), but I can't think of where. Maybe it's me, but it looks a little istock photo/photoshopped to me.
