No Urban Fantasy Weekend Report this Weekend

I had an absolutely huge Weekend Report almost completed for post in about another hour. It takes a lot of time to build over the course of a week. And then a combination of key strokes led to the post being wiped and then SAVED as a blank and nothing could be recovered. Right now I am so frustrated and angrry I cannot see straight and I simply do not have the energy to rebuild it and even if I did it is unlikely I could re-identify all of the original sources. My apologies. I am going to go pound my head against the wall now. Over and out.

  2. Very, very sorry to hear that, Doug! I can tell that they are a lot of work, and to lose all that...

Is it too early for a beer?

  3. I can imagine your frustration as I have an idea how long you work on your post. I hope your day improves. How about a round of Wii golf?

  4. Oh, no! I know exactly the frustration you are feeling right now.

I ditto Chris's suggestion for a beer or two.

Don't bang your head too hard or if it's not too late, not at all. Okay? ;)

  5. I've had that experience before, and on top of it my wireless was dropping every two seconds so I couldn't save my post properly either
if you use HTML view, maybe make your post in Notepad (or copy the HTML over) and preview/save it in the blogger window every once in a while? Notepad hardly ever malfunctions lol

  7. Sorry that happened to you. One of the ways I keep from posts doing that is to write it up in another program like notepad or you can use Windows Live Writer which will sometimes hook up to your blog type and show you copies of posts you've written.

Hope your day gets better. *hugs*

  12. LOL thanks everyone for all the sympathetic support. I'll have those beers for the heck of it. But now that I am over my tantrum and cleaned up the debris, I have decided to rebuild the post as best I can and will post tomorrow instead! I've revamped my production procedure to ensure it won't happen this way again. Thanks for the helpful suggestions!

  13. I'm glad you've got it worked out so it won't happen again. I can't believe how angry you must have felt. So sorry, Doug!

  14. You still rock, Doug! That sucks, though - I've lost an entire manuscript once.

  17. Thanks Angiegirl. All remedied now :)

Sean now that would be terrifying. I can't imagine the dismay you felt. A lost blog post is a dust mote by comparison.

Tiah that's the cure that fixes most everything :)

    Thanks kay!

ediFanoB thankfully I am on the ground floor, but then I would still have to remember to open it first :)

For bloggers comments are like water to a man (or woman) wandering in the desert. A precious commodity. I love to hear from everyone and do my best to respond to every post.
