Cover Art - "Burning Up" Anthology
Both Meljean Brook and Nalini Singh featured the cover to the Burning Up anthology to which they are both contributors along with Angela Knight and Virginia Kantra. Meljean's story is an Iron Seas novella, “Here There Be Monsters”. Iron Seas is her newest series which launches next year. Nalini Singh's novella is titled "Whisper of Sin". The anthology releases in August 2010. Seems to me that guys featured on UF and PNR covers lately have been getting better tats than the ladies. What do you think?

I don't know, the upcoming Inked anthology by Karen Chance etc. chick is pretty inked. Not to mention that Mercy Thompson it definitely running out of room.
ReplyDeleteHmm, yeah huge tat here, but I'm not a fan of it. It looks like a giant tramp stamp. Cheesy. :\
ReplyDeleteDue to family history with a fire, I look at that mark and see burn scars, rather than a red tattoo. Stylized burn marks? Gross in real life, but intriguing in fiction! Could be a new trend, I agree.

I love the cover--guys are definitely getting the sexier tats on covers now a days, lol.
ReplyDeleteThough, I do wonder if that's because I'm horribly addied to JBZ from KMM's Fever series, lol.
Abigail very true but there is a certain style (almost like wallpaper) to the new guy tattoos.
ReplyDeleteJanicu well they certainly don't look like anything that would be real or believable. It's the old follow the trend thing again.
Susan never would have considered that. Interesting observation.
chichaihana I don't think JBZ is going to turn out to be a good guy :(
