Zombies for Zombies Promo

I wonder if zombie party girls Amanda Feral and Wendy are planning to pick up a copy of this new guide from Sourcebooks.  Check out the description and the video at the end of the post.

On October 1, Sourcebooks is releasing Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead by David P. Murphy, the first motivational guide and workbook for the recently undead. This is meant to help those who are not quite zombies, but sure will be in seventy-two hours!

The video below is a parody of the eHarmony commercials, only this is an online mating service for post-life “survivors” of the Disaster. This is the first of three forthcoming segments of the storyline that will develop the relationship between two zombies who are looking for love.

Z4Z – Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for The Living Dead

So, you’ve been bitten by a zombie? Bummer!

Not only are you terrified, but you’re also wondering what to do with your copies of The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. The recently bitten are ravenously searching for advice for the most underrepresented market in the genre – the zombies themselves! Despite the ever increasing popularity of zombies, little is available on how to help them undergo the transformation to their strange new life.

Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead by David P. Murphy, with illustrations by Daniel Heard. (ISBN: 9781402220128; Oct. 2009; $12.99 U.S./$15.99 CAN/£6.99 UK, Humor), the first motivational guide and workbook for the individual who has just been infected. Appropriate readers fall into the category of not quite a zombie yet, but sure will be in seventy-two hours.

There is no doubt that a zombie’s journey is going to be difficult, but does a zombie have to end up like one of those fools lumbering around the perimeters of Containment Zone Magenta? Absolutely not. Zombies for Zombies will lead its readers by their cootie covered hands and encourage each one to take the steps necessary to preserve his of her quality of life. Sections include:
  • Great tricks for getting blood stains out of your clothes
  • Handy recipes for brains
  • Deep stuff including spirituality
  • Fitness ideas for keeping toned and somewhat energetic
  • Dance steps for the motor-impaired
For any soon-to-be zombie, Z4Z is the essential guide to retaining a little bit of humanity in their post-life and remember, just because the Horde does it doesn’t mean you have to!

  1. Reminded me of all the other dating sites they are advertising these days. LOL Not that meeting someone online doesn't work, after all I met my wife in an online RP game, but....

  2. When I read your first sentence, I thought: "When did I turn into a zombie?!" Then I remember you're talking about Mark's book! Heh.

I sooo want to read this book! It sounds seriously funny.

  3. Too funny. I wonder what will be included under recipies for brains.

  4. After reading Max Brooks Zombie Apocalypse guide, I now know I can survive in the world where zombies will be craving my brains.

Dating in the zombie world must be so hard! "so, how long have you been dead and what body parts have you lost?"

  5. Hilarious! I want this book now! I so want to go to the brains recipes.

  6. This is great, I think this might be a great Christmas present for my zombie obsessed oldest son. He has a zombie board game, (present from his girlfriend last year), The Zombie Survival Guide (I might have the name wrong) about surviving zombie attacks, (from me a couple years ago) and other zombie collector stuff.

The videio is great - "Brains..."

  7. Now that I think about it more, I think the book I gave him was Max Brook's Zombie Apocalyse Guide, as Katiebabs mentioned. That sounds familiar.

Mardel I am waiting for the next video installments to come. Yeah one of my sons is a zombie fan too.

Thanks for dropping by David. The book sounds like a hoot and I am planning a review. Darned booksites all have the wrong date.
