Profile - "The Enemy" by Charlie Higson

I came across this new book from young adult novelist Charlie Higson. And it's all about zombies. Check out the video at the end of the post which covers the UK launch for The Enemy. According to the YouTube copy the event at the London Bridge Experience and the London Tombs was so genuinely scary that some fans ended up in tears. Charlie has a great website with more video and an interactive feature that lets you upload your own photos and 'zombify' them! According to Amazon the book released or releases as follows: US/UK Sept. 3 | Canada Oct. 27
They'll chase you. They'll rip you open. They'll feed on you...When the sickness came, every parent, policeman, politician - every adult - fell ill. The lucky ones died. The others are crazed, confused and hungry. Only children under fourteen remain, and they're fighting to survive. Now there are rumours of a safe place to hide. And so a gang of children begin their quest across London, where all through the city - down alleyways, in deserted houses, underground - the grown-ups lie in wait. But can they make it there - alive?

  2. I'll have to look for this one - I love a good zombie book. The concept of this one reminds me of Blood Crazy by Simon Clark. Have you read it? It's actually my favorite book ever. One day all adults go crazy and try to kill their children. The adults are basically zombies intent on killing every kid & teen in the world, and the kids have to stick together and try to find a safe place. It's brilliant! I hope The Enemy is good as well :)
