THEIR LOVE IS FORBIDDEN
Healer and high priestess of her people, Lady Cael is fated to life without a mate. But a mysterious explorer named Lucan Rourke doesn’t know her secrets, and his touch makes her crave a future that her extraordinary birthright has forbidden her...
BUT DANGER IS NO MATCH FOR DESIRE
Lucan has just one mission on Pendragon: to find the mythical Holy Grail, Earth’s only hope for survival. His powerful attraction to Cael is a distraction he can’t afford, unless he convinces her to join forces with him. Yet working so closely together only heightens their passion...even when the terrifying truth of Cael’s heritage threatens to shatter Lucan’s every belief—and the galaxy itself.

One of my favorite books and my favorite Arthurian legend retelling is Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I also enjoyed the TV miniseries based on the book. My favorite Arthurian movie is Excalibur. I LOVE that movie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest!

I, too, love The Mists of Avalon. I also really like Jack Whyte's series - they're very action-focused, and since I read mainly romance, that can be a refreshing change.

Hello! Thanks for this giveaway from the fantastic Pendragon Leagacy by Susan Kearney. My "King Arthur" book is THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING by T.H. White. I am a Google Follower and subscriber.
ReplyDeletegcwhiskas at aol dot com
Bernard Cornwell's Arthur trilogy is very dark and gritty, and not a series to be missed.
ReplyDeleteI think "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White is always going to be my favorite. To me, it is the ultimate King Arthur.
ReplyDeleteI also tweeted the giveaway @Hawkeyegirl

Mists of Avalon by Bradley. (like almost everyone else! lol)

I love Mary Stewart's Arthurian saga (the series begins with "The Crystal Cave"). Someone gave me the books when I was a kid and the series got me hooked on the Arthurian legends. Ever since then, I've immersed myself in every book that involves those legends. There are so many great books, it's difficult to narrow it down, but I love Stewart's books since they were what started everything for me.

I love Lucan's book trailer...
ReplyDeleteI like Le Morte d'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory
Thanks,
Tracey

The poem "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson would have to be my favorite Arthurian tie in.

My favorite Arthurian work is the 1981 John Boorman movie Excalibur. Gritty, sexy, and darkly atmospheric.

I love the Mageverse series by Angela Knight
ReplyDeleteI'm hooked on Arthur. I read Mary Stewart's Crystal Cave series and nothing else has ever quite lived up to it for me.

I enjoyed the movie "Sword of Lancelot". wandanamgreb(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI love both the Mists of Avalon series and the Crystal Cave series. I must admit, however that I have rarely found an Arthurian book I have not liked unless the writing was just bad.
ReplyDeleteI just finished watching the TV series Merlin and liked it a lot, looking forward to season 2. I also liked the TV movie Merlin's Apprentice starring Sam Neill and Isabella Rossellini... fascinated by Merlin in the Arthurian legend!
ReplyDeletedelilah0180(at)yahoo(dot)com
THE MISTS OF AVALON is my favorite Arthurian novel, and I loved the movie "Excalibur."

ReplyDeleteFinally, a easy question. Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mists of Avalon brought me back to Fantasy.
ReplyDeleteI cringe just thinking about the tv movie on the USA Network. Someone should have shot Bonnie Hammer for it, not promoted her to head of the Sci-Fi channel (excuse me Syfy). Then we would have had Firefly continue until Joss decided it was time to move on. (not to mention all the other horrid decisions she has made)

I'd have to go with my childhood favourite, The Sword in the Stone. I still remember the many swordfights we "reinacted" in the backyard after watching the movie.

I enjoyed the series Merlin this past summer. It was an interesting take on Arthur and Merlin coming of age.
