Reviewette – “All Wounds” by Dina James

Anthology: The Eternal Kiss
Story: 13 of 13
Pages: 36

All Wounds is an interesting tale of a young girl learning her family secret and finding a surprising destiny. Becky arrives home from school concerned as usual about her Nana who has Alzheimer’s. Raised by her Nana after her parents’ death in an accident, she now returns the care. Becky’s ordinary life is turned upside down when a young man appears at the door asking for her Nana with an injured and unconscious Ryan, a boy she only just met at school. Suddenly her grandmothers’ mental faculties are restored and she assumes control of the situation. Her Nana is a Healer to the supernatural community and Becky is dumbfounded by what she learns about her family and her heritage in short order. Engagingly told with dashes of humour, All Wounds is a pleasing conclusion to a solid collection of vampire tales.

Rating – 3.5 Eternal Kisses (of 5)
