Reviewette - “All Hallows” by Rachel Caine

Anthology: The Eternal Kiss
Story: 8 of 13
Pages: 36

All Hallows is a Morganville Vampire story. Told from Eve’s point of view, the Glass House residents go on a double date to The Dead Girl’s Dance halloween party, the setting for a novel the previous year in the Morganville timeline. Eve’s narrative voice is snarky and funny and needless to say the crew can’t go anywhere without trouble finding them. Michael is ‘kidnapped’ and Miranda the girl with the ‘visions’ is at the centre of things. A fun story with laughs and action both. Miranda provides what may perhaps be some foreshadowing for a future instalment of the series when she remarks –
Miranda said dreamily, “One of us is going to be a vampire.”
I liked seeing Michael, Claire and Shane through a different set of eyes. A very enjoyable addition to the Morganville compendium.

Rating – 4 Eternal Kisses (of 5)
