“Mawwage is what bwings us togwether today....”

The post quote is of course from The Princess Bride. Author Kari Stewart whose debut urban fantasy A Devil in the Details is coming out July 2010 posted this feel good YouTube video on her blog today. Now this is my kind of wedding.

  7. This was actually in St. Paul. The groom was a friend of my brothers. How cool is that to ditch the dour wedding march and add in a bit of joy? Love it!

  9. I was just at MSN.com and saw it's the featured video. It replaced a preview of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland!

  10. Catherine I saw your note about MSN. I wonder if Kari saw it there first or if the video has simply gone viral. If so - WOW!

Tracey some videos hit the right note and this was one of them.

RD especially to put yourself out there and do something so non-traditional.

Lady Lazarus if ya gotta go out - go with a bang.

Dottie just terrific feel good all the way around.

Thanks Amy. It's real as Michele confirms below.

Hey Michele I am sure it was a memorable wedding for all that attended. What a blast. Did your brother attend?

Leah I couldn't agree more. I'd rather start my day with something like this than read the news.

  11. I thought this was awesome, thanks for posting it. My husband response though was "what the hell is this, why did you make me watch it". Le sigh. :P

  12. Janicu you need to get your hubby to channel some of his inner John Travolta.

  13. That would be the best wedding party ever! And the bridesmaids can all wear those dresses again! Those two are meant to be together in happiness and joy.

  14. watched this last night all by myself and I was laughting (joyful, not laughing at) and Traceyo- I'm a cranky 49 year old and it brought a few tears to my eye too. Even though I'm not very religous, for some reason the songs of Solomon came to mind....
dancing and reveling- a celebration of life. Everyone should dance more.

Michele- what a cool wedding- how fun.

  15. Watched that video on the news tonight and thought that must be one fun group of people - imagine the reception!!! With that kind of sense of humor - it will see the newlyweds through anything.

  17. My daughter said she saw this clip on CafeMom Friday Morning, when I tried to show it to her. It's definitely making the rounds.

Princess Bride = best ever movie, but the book is even better, more snarky (by William Goldman. I could kick myself, because once I had an original paperback, from 20+ years ago, with a letter in it regarding publishing and I loaned to someone who NEVER gave it back. I don't know him anymore either.
