Cover Art - Dawnbreaker by Jocelynn Drake

Dawnbreaker by Jocelynn Drake is the third book in her Dark Days urban fantasy series. Jocelynn announced on her blog that this is the final cover for the book which releases September 29. There is also a novella forthcoming in the Unbound anthology (August 25) called "The Dead, The Damned, And The Forgotten" that is a a prequel to Nightwalker. If you want to get a sneak peak at the new novel Dottie at My Blog 2.0 received an ARC and has a very favourable review.

The dawn brinks new terror for the creatures of the night...
Those off her race fear Mira for the lethal fire she bends to her will -- a power unique among nightwalkers, both a gift ... and a curse.

The naturi despise Mira for what she is -- as they prepare the final sacrifice that will destroy the barriers between the worlds. And once the naturi are unchained, blood, chaos, and horror will reign supreme on Earth.

Mira can trust only Danaus, the more-than-mortal vampire slayer, though he is sworn to destroy her kind. And now, as the day approaches when titanic forces will duel under cover of darkness, destiny draws them toward an apocalyptic confrontation at Machu Picchu. But all is not lost. for a wild card has been dealt to them: a rogue enemy princess who can change the balance of power and turn the dread tide."

  3. Hi Doug!

Thanks for the shout! *g* I wanted to let you know that I'm going to have a contest for Dayhunter closer to the release of Dawnbreaker (I hope to get another copy of Dawnbreaker to include in the giveaway - don't know if that's possible.) I absolutely love this series! I would love to give away spoilers, it's driving me crazy, trying not to say to much.

  4. PopinFresh Jocelynn has been fortunate with her covers, they all share a similar style and readily brand them as her work. And they do set the tone of the stories which are quite dark. Very striking.

Hey Dottie - no problemo! Holding back on spoilers is hard - I know. You should get a terrific response to a contest for this series. Let me know when and I'll crosspost for you.
