UPDATE: Cover Art - "Never After" Anthology

UPDATE: Marjorie Liu posted the official blurb for her anthology story The Tangleroot Palace on her blog today and I have added the description below. Apparently the Laurell K. Hamilton story is called Can You Bake A Cherry Pie? Anyone have any information on what Sharon Shinn is contributing?

On her blog today, Yasmine Galenorn unveiled the cover for the Never After urban fantasy anthology due for release November 3, 2009. It contains feminist fairy tales by Laurell K. Hamilton, Yasmine Galenorn, Marjorie Liu and Sharon Shinn. The Galenorn contribution is a novella from her Otherworld series. No information available yet on the contributions from the other writers.

The Tangleroot Palace by Marjorie Liu:
New York Times bestselling author Marjorie M. Liu tells the tale of a young princess who escapes betrothal to a warlord by entering a magical forest. But when an evil queen sends her on a quest to “The Tangleroot Palace” she faces dangers more perilous than marriage.

The Shadow of Mist by Yasmine Galenorn:
Siobhan Morgan, a friend of the D'Artigo sisters, has a hidden past. A selkie, Siobhan has told everyone she was sent to the United States because inbreeding was wiping out her people. What she didn't tell anyone was that a dark presence from her past who has been stalking her for a hundred years, since she first left the shores of Ireland. A man who will stop at nothing to possess her. With the help of the D'Artigo sisters, Siobhan must stop him before he destroys everything she loves and everything she's built in her new life.

  1. Hi Doug!

Another anthology for me to look into. The two I've completed have been really good. I'm working on Bloody Returns now. I'll see if I can pick this up when it come out.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  2. Hamilton's site says, Laurell's short story is neither Merry nor Anita. It is a whole new short story titled: "Can You Bake A Cherry Pie?"

  6. Well I want to read this one because of Hamilton alone. I just hope the story provided isn't an excerpt from her books or something though...
