Cover Art - "Bound to Shadows" by Keri Arthur
Keri Arthur has posted the cover to her eighth Riley Jensen book Bound to Shadows due for release October 29, 2009. Deadly Desire the seventh Riley book was released earlier this week. It looks like a new urban fantasy cover style is emerging with tattoo-like symbols appearing across the design. This first appeared with the House of Night books by P.C. & Kristin Cast and more recently with the upcoming Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland. Anyone noticed any other covers using this style?

At least it isn't a tramp stamp. I'm diggin' the blue though. This is hot.
ReplyDeleteI haven't checked to see if they are all from the same publisher. Maybe its an art department thing. Keri usually has pretty good covers and I particularly like this one. It suits Riley.

wordsofshayness blue seems to be getting the vote. It is eye catching.
ReplyDeleteLady_tink yeah a couple of LKH covers use the colour like that, you may be thinking of Cerulean Sins and of course a couple use similar poses but different colours. Glad you are liking the HoN series.
