Carrie Vaughn states over on her blog that she is currently writing Book 7 in the Kitty Norville series to be called Kitty’s House of Horrors for January 2010 release. Why do I think of the Simpsons when I hear that title?
New Urban Fantasy Anthology
Ellen Datlow is completing the finishing touches on a new anthology of urban fantasy stories called Naked City: New Tales of Urban Fantasy by a great line-up of fantasy writers. The contents are listed below with apparently one more story to be added. Ellen Datlow says – “It's a very mixed bag covering cities from Berlin to New York to Mexico City (and some imaginary ones) and it's got ghoul lovers, city destroyers, a story featuring the Seattle troll, and the real reason for the curse on the Chicago Cubs!”

Lol. I didn't think Simpsons until you said something but yeah, I get this visual of one of the Halloween specials too.
ReplyDeleteOoh! *squeal* Love Delia Sherman so I'll have to look into picking this up even though I only recognize two other authors...
Simpsons was the first thing I thought of which shows how warped my brain is Ladytink. The anthology is an awesome lineup of writers. Crowley, Black, Bear, Novik and Kushner are particular favourites of mine.
ReplyDeleteOoh this looks good! Jim Butcher and Ellen Kushner, gets my thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteBella Lee you can't go wrong with either of those.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read "Kitty's House of Horrors", I thought of the Simpsons too! My brothers always teased me and said that I'm a Lisa, but I don't think that's such a bad thing :)
ReplyDeleteTalent and brains and can play a mean sax. Oh yeah Mo!
