Some wounds take time to heal . . . and some scars never fade.

Rachel Morgan, kick-ass witch and bounty hunter, has taken her fair share of hits, and has broken lines she swore she would never cross. But when her lover was murdered, it left a deeper wound than Rachel ever imagined, and now she won't rest until his death is solved . . . and avenged. Whatever the cost.

Yet the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and when a new predator moves to the apex of the Inderlander food chain, Rachel's past comes back to haunt her.

Pre-order from HarperCollins.

Sneak peak of the first 2 chapters.

Sneak peak of the first 5 chapters.

You can also read Dead Witch Walking, the first book in the series that started it all, free online here.

  1. I remember the Eiger Sanction as a great title for Clint Eastwood. So my suggested title might be The Eigerwood Sanction!

  2. My favorite Hollows character is Jenks because he's an amazing friend to Rachel and Ivy.

  3. He was only the executive producer for the movie but...

Takata Thunk: Stay, No Chase Her! :D

  4. haha...I must say that my favorite character is Detective Glenn. I love his secret love of tomato-based products and how Rachel sneaks him BBQ sauce like he's a junkie!

  5. My favorite Hollows character was Kisten because of the way he loves Rachel and he makes sure he doesn't bite her until she is ready.

    Terri W.

  6. My favorite alive character is Jenks but Kistin was my favorite overall. I still love this series but I do miss him.

  7. i love author goodies, please enter me!

play misty for me, clint eastwood film

hmm there is alot of ways to change that, then again, not to change it
i love the title and the song ,yep a song is actaully befpore the movie, if i rememebering right,
(hey dont laugh at old ppl LOL, my mind is swiss chesse)

  8. I'd like to be included, Clint Eastwood movie The Good the Bad and the Ugly!

  9. Please enter me, too! My favorite character is Jenks, because of his 'tude. He's brave and loyal and loves his wife. Plus he's a little hottie. :-)

I will link from my blog, too. Thanks!

  10. My favorite character is Rachel herself, but I also find Ivy fascinating, and how can anybody not love Jenks and his family?!?

  11. Lovin' everyones thoughts. Keep em coming.

  12. I have to jump on the bandwagon and say that Jenks is my favorite character, and his whole family and their antics add an interesting element to the series.

  13. I like all the characters, but would have to pick Jenks and his wife. As for a Clint Eastwood title, how about Where Eagles Dare?

  14. A Clint Eastwood movie that would make a great title? "The Beguiled"
He played a union soldier held captive in a southern girls school. Now that's a fun take on titles!

Please include me in the drawing. Thanks! Indigo

  15. Jenks would have to be my fave. He was a close second to Kisten who is probably my favorite fictional person of all time. Still holding out hope for a miracle to bring him back but would love to see something happen between Jenks (bigger of course) and Rachel. Outside of that I don't think Kisten can be replaced.

  16. Oh I want to enter, but now I feel bad because I love Jenks too. No originality here, sorry.

  17. My favorite Hollows character is Jenks. he would be so much fun to hang out and have a drink with. For a new Hollow book tile how about
(Where Whitches Dare) instead of Where Eagles Dare.

  18. I love this series. I will have to say Rachel is my favorite character. Without her there is no series :) Jenks is very cool as well!!!

  19. blogged ~

  20. -I got to say that my fav character is Rachel Morgan. She is a kick-ass heroine. Sometimes I get frustrated with her decisions but she is one tough witch that will bounce back no matter what.

-I blogged about this contest on my LJ:

  21. I love the Pixies, ALL OF THEM! This is such a great series... Instead of Hang 'Em High, how about Hex 'Em High?

  22. Love this giveaway! My husband is a fan of Clint Eastwood movies so I have seen all of them at least twice!
"A Fistful of Dollars" is my favorite Clint Eastwood movie to date! I would appreciate being entered in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

  23. I love Rachel. She is one of the most "alive" characters I have ever read. She is so perfect in her imperfections and doesn't see how amazing she is. Totally awesome. I really love this series and all of the characters.

Jenks is such a scene stealer...and Ivy is definitely fascinating but I must say I love Rachel the most.

Please enter me in your awesome contest.

  24. If you are doing a book on Trent and Rachel you could call it “ ‘Witch’ Million Dollar Devil” instead of Clint Eastwood’s “Million Dollar Baby”, because we don’t know if Trent is an angel or a devil and using witch instead of which means you can use Rachel and add a new character and we can see if the new character is the devil or if Trent is? Good luck on the tour.

  25. Thank you to everyone that entered the Giveaway and left their suggestions for titles and mentioned their favourite characters.

MBC_YOUTH was picked by the Randomizer to win the prize pack.
