Argh. I am fuming right now with the mysogyny and how eveybody (even the ones "defending" UF) just dismiss Romance and Paranormal Romance as trash.

Hi Ana, yeah that's one of the reasons why I posted the link hoping some of the regulars here that really appreciate urban fantasy would drop over and weigh in on the issue. Certainly Lilith covered everything I love about the genre. As a couple of people remarked it seems the naysayers actually haven't read any of the UF that Lilith is talking about.
